As we all know, St. Francis Revival Home is a babies home (house of life) that provides love, care, protection and hope to infants and young children who have lost their parents, have been abandoned or whose families are temporarily un able to care for them. this house of life ensure that every child has access to good feeding, shelter, healthcare, education and safe environment in which to grow.

The care givers who work with Revival Home play a vital role by dedicating their time and energy to caring for children with compassion and patience. their effort help children develop physically, emotionally, and socially, giving them a chance to build a brighter future.

As members of the community, we also have a responsibility to support Revival Home through donating clothes, food, toys, books, and other essential items.

This is an interesting year whereby the facility has enrolled 26 children 0-2 years from January to July yet its capacity is 30 babies only so we can not tell at the end of the year how many babies will be at the facility. At the house of life, Gate keeping is one of the best practices because we want to offer care and protection at its best. But most of the time we find ourselves in a fix whereby the officials are stuck with many children especially the abandoned and have no where to place them.

Placement usually requires intervention by local police, child protection unit (CFPU)and the Senior Probation and Social Welfare Officer (SPSWO).

When referrals are made by the officials, the concerned parties (Warden, Social worker, nurse) at Revival do the following

Household assessment

Carrying out a 24 hours report from a hospital (General checkup)
